THE GALLERY

When we established The Albion Gallery, our aim was simple:

to provide an open and inviting space for people to view, learn about and purchase new artworks that they can enjoy for years to come.

You can take a tour of the gallery below, or better yet, come along and see it in person:

With a focus on making your gallery experience both relaxing and enjoyable, the Albion Gallery promises to offer you something a little different from a typical gallery.

Located in the Cotswold market town of Chipping Norton, our aim is to promote contemporary fine art by showcasing unique works, providing our clients with an experience they can enjoy for years to come. We specialise in original art that demonstrates an exceptional use of colour, light, shape or form and are particularly fond of artists who use traditional art techniques to create fresh and modern works. Our focus is on providing our customers with exceptional customer service and on being an open and accessible gallery; guiding new collectors through their first art purchase as well as aiding more established art buyers in expanding their existing collections.

To find out more about the Albion Gallery, receiving invites to exclusive events, and to be kept up to date on the latest developments, sign up to our newsletter.

We look forward to seeing you at the gallery.

MAKING OF THE GALLERY

The Interior

We laboured hard to turn what was a run down and sorry looking interior of the building, into a clean bright and open space. This involved stripping out much of the wall coverings, flooring and woodwork that were in the building to reveal the traditional structures underneath.

We feel that taking the space back as close to its original design as we could has helped to open up the space and re inject a sense of light, space and sophistication that had been missing.

The Exterior

From soil tip to sculpture garden – One of the biggest jobs we took on was the removal of more than 20 tonnes of soil, stone, other assorted debris from the rear of the gallery site. In doing so we have not only helped keep the interiors dry by taking away lots of the soil that had been sitting against the walls but we have opened up the outside space, enabling us to create a contemporary garden space, perfect for housing sculpture.
