CHARITIES

THE PLATELET CHARITY

Platelet Charity

The Albion Gallery is delighted to announce our first charity partner. The Platelet Charity is dedicated to raising awareness and funds to help children with rare blood conditions called Platelet Function Disorders (PFDs). These are rare blood conditions that affect the clotting ability of the blood. The term is applied to many conditions where platelets don't work properly. Anyone can have an inherited PFD but acquired PFDs may also appear spontaneously or because of an external factor. It is estimated that there are probably around 2000-5000 people in the UK who live with PFDs.

We are looking forward to working together with the Platelet Charity in aid of such a good cause. Keep an eye out on our website for more information over the coming months.

You can find out more about the Platelet Charity's work on their website.
